Internet Archaeology is a hybrid Open Access journal. But in a bid to demonstrate our intent, as of January 2013 all content in issues 1-21 has been made Open Access.

Our longer term aim is…

While OA has made it easier for the public to access the latest scientific and technical research for free, the process and choices for authors may feel more complex. This webinar will answer your questions on things like licensing, journal integrity, impact factor, and how to reach established audiences within relevant technical…

Our theme for 2013 is Promoting OA Scholarship.
We have two events aimed at library staff education and participation. The third event (outside of OA week dates) is aimed at helping faculty and students understand the facts and let go of the myths about OA student (including undergraduate) scholarship.

My goal this year is to raise awareness about Open Access on campus. Library staff and student volunteers from McMaster's Free Culture Club will be manning an information desk in the lobby of the largest library on campus, Mills Memorial Library. We will be distributing Right to Research handouts, OA buttons and Hallowe'en treats! We will also be promoting two drop-in sessions.
