Google Doodle and Other Activities

Here at the Centre for Research Communications we've been thinking of ways that we can help to promote Open Access Week. One idea we had to raise awareness of the week for a wider audience was to propose to Google that they use OA week as a subject for a Google Doodle for their main home page or the home page of Google Scholar. Here at SUNY Buffalo we're thinking of having two OA Week contests. An OA Haiku contest for students, and a contest to name our institutional repository for faculty/staff and grad students. Anyone have experience running similar contests and have insight to share?
