Stevan Harnad, Comments on Public Access to Federally Supported R&D Publications
On May 14-15, the National Research Council (NRC) Division on Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education (DBASSE) held a meeting to gather public input on the implementation of the White House Office of Science and Technology's memorandum directing federal departments and agencies to develop a plan to support increased public access to the results of research funded by the Federal Government. Input from the meeting will guide the development of the public access to publications policies of federal departments and agencies.
