We know as a researcher it can be hard to know the best way to take advantage of open access options.
This one-hour video conference will provide you with ideas about open access and the support you have available to you as ACU Researchers, to ensure wide dissemination of your research without compromising journal choice or publishing contracts.
Open Access is the free immediate, online availability of scholarly content, coupled with the rights to use these articles fully in the digital environment. Over the past decade, Open Access has become central to advancing the interests of researchers, scholars, students, business, and the public. Increasingly, institutions that support research — from public and private research funders to higher education institutions — are implementing policies that require researchers to make articles that report on research generated from their funding openly accessible to and fully useable by the public.
Topics covered include:
- Pathways to open access
- Open Access and Research Funders
- Open Data
- Sharing your research via Scholarly Collaboration Networks
- Resources and support available from ACU Library.
Presenter:
Sharon Bunce, Senior Research Support Librarian, Brisbane
