DIGITAL.CSIC will join this year's International Open Access Week with the seminar New systems for scientific evaluation, peer-review and open access to contribute to the ongoing debate about the ways that transformations in scholarly communication and open access policies are redefining research assessment models, tools and indicators.
The seminar will be divided into 2 parts: the first session will include representives from a research funder (Euroepan Commission), an open access publisher (BioMed Central) and a researcher community (Open Scholar) to share their views on the interrelation between open access, science in transition and assessment exercises. The second session will encompass CSIC researchers from the Chemistry, Physics and Social Sciences domains to talk about their experiences with open access. DIGITAL.CSIC will close the round of presentations with a brief overview on the futures of institutional repositories.
