Event Description

Computationally intensive research methods are motivating cultural heritage institutions to develop digital collections and policies that are more amenable to data-driven research and that provide opportunities for users to enhance, re-mix, and re-imagine digital collections. This session highlights some of the Library's open access collections, the kinds of data sets available from digital collections, how to request collection data, and what can be done with this data. It will conclude with a broader discussion of potential uses/use cases proposed by participants.

Presented by Dawn Childress, librarian for digital collections and scholarship, and Pete Broadwell, academic projects developer

Held in the Presentation Room on the first floor of the Charles E. Young Research Library
