Event Description

When it comes to creating your own Open Educational Resources, or OERs, what do you need to know about Copyright law? This presentation will provide an overview of US Copyright and Fair Use, as well as discuss licensing options such as Creative Commons.

This 90-minute session is presented by UCLA Library's Scholarly Communication Librarian, Jennifer Chan. No legal advice is being offered. Attendees are encouraged to consult the proper authorities for assistance with copyright.

This program follows the earlier session A Case for Creating OERs: A Journey from Learners to Creators, by UCLA Library's Japanese Studies Librarian, Tomoko Bialock, and UCLA’s Dept of Asiian Languages and Cultures Dr. Asako Hayashi Takakura.

This live webinar will be held over Zoom via this link: https://ucla.zoom.us/j/98164399152?pwd=NERaV0NTSERZb1diaFFocTZKSndGdz09

This session is being recorded.

A part of UCLA Library's Open Access Week Celebrations.
