You may have heard of the ORCID iD (Open Researcher and Contributor iD), but not really know what they are for and how to create an iD. The iD distinguishes you from other researchers and permanently and uniquely links your research results and activities to your iD.

The Blogpost (in German) will explain what your personal benefit is, how to sign up and how the ORCID is used by publishers and funding organisations.
