I am from Ukraine but I work for EIFL - an international not-for-profit organisation with a base in Europe and a global network of partners http://www.eifl.net. I am an EIFL Open Access programme manager (http://www.eifl.net/cps/sections/services/eifl-oa). Looking forward to seeing you in Beijing!
Mark Patterson from PLoS will be attending as well as presenting.
please when is that?
Hi Richard, it's October 25-26. An Open Access Conference http://www.berlin8.org to share and discuss the strategies, policies, implementation mechanisms, sustainable infrastructures, and international collaboration for open access to information, especially those by governmental and funding agencies, research and education institutions, scholarly communications and knowledge organizations, to promote effective and sustainable open access in today’s and future digital research, education, and cultural environments. The Berlin8 open access conference will first time come to the place outside Europe, in October 2010, Beijing, China. It will be co-host by Chinese Academy of Sciences and Max Planck Society, co-organized by National Science Library, CAS and Max Planck Digital Library. They have a call for posters now - Submission Deadline: September 20, 2010, more information: http://www.eifl.net:8080/pipermail/eifloa/2010-August/000397.html
