Event Description

The Medical Library at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin is displaying a new Open Access poster collection at the Campus Virchow Klinikum branch. The exhibition informs visitors (mostly students!) about Open Access topics at all levels, from beginners learning about "How to make your research open access", to experts interested in "Preprints: Opportunity or Challenge?". Related topics like ORCID or Think-Check-Submit are also covered.

The pool of potential posters is wide since the OA community have produced many posters and images with CC licences, enabling us to copy and display them!

Posters have been chosen for the collection according to their relevance and the clarity with which they address OA topics. This year's poster from PubMed Central is particularly relevant to our medical subject area, and of course the strategy for Berlin is locally important.

Framed posters are displayed at A0 size around the corridors of the ground floor at the library, in order to attract maximum attention. The display was first launched in OA Week 2017 and has been refreshed in OA Week 2018 and OA Week 2019. Our exhibition runs beyond OA Week itself, so if you are in Berlin in the near future, then do come in and see it!
