Event Description

Mendeley is pleased to announce our 'Alternative Metrics for Impact and the Future of Open Access' webinar for OA Week 2011 on Thursday, October 27th at 10:00am PDT

During this webinar, we will discuss how opening up PLoS' content has made it more valuable, and has enabled broader usage of their alternative metrics for impact. We'll also discuss how Mendeley is an example of how Open Access policies can have economic impact at the national level.

Speakers include:

Peter Binfield, publisher of PLoS ONE, a leading edge academic journal breaking new ground in Open Access.

Jason Hoyt, Research Director of Mendeley, a innovative service for researchers to share and discover research.
