Event Description

The Florida Institute of Technology campus community is welcome to attend this live AdobeConnect presentation from Dr. Cable Green, Director of Global Learning at Creative Commons. He will discuss how the Internet, increasingly affordable computing, open licensing and open educational resources (OER) provide the foundation for a world where quality education can be a basic human right.  He will explore how to develop effective teams for institution / system-wide OER projects in a way that both creates high quality OER and takes institutions through the cultural shift to open.

Creative Commons (CC) is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools. It’s free, easy-to-use open copyright licenses provide a simple, standardized way to give public permission to share and use creative works — with conditions or copyright terms which the author specifies.

Dr. Mary Bonhomme, University Professor, eEducation will facilitate a Q&A session.

Light refreshments will be served.
