This day marks the final tally for the OA mandates -- i.e., the institutional and funder policies requiring refereed research papers to be made OA -- that have been adopted or proposed in response to the 2010 OA Week OA Mandate Challenge, as registered in ROARMAP.

The OA Week Mandate Challenge generated 7 institutional mandates, 1 multi-institutional mandate, 3 departmental mandates, 2 proposed departmental mandates, and 3 thesis mandates for a total of 16 in less than two weeks!

The hope is that the momentum created by the 2010 OA Week OA Mandate Challenge will now continue building and broadening long after OA Week 2010 is over.
