The University of Kentucky Libraries hosted these events to celebrate this year's Open Access Week:

• Oct. 22: Screening of the SPARC World Bank Webcast
• Oct. 24: Keynote event: Scholarship Unlocked: The Future of Open Access

Our keynote speaker was Dr. David Solomon from Michigan State University. He provided an overview of the growth and direction of OA publishing/archiving. He also discussed some of the new directions in OA and scholarly communication. Three panelists from the University of Kentucky then responded to Dr. Solomon's presentation from three different perspectives.
