DREAM IT project (Development Research to Empower All Mongolians through Information and Communications Technology), supported by the International Development Research Center (IDRC), Canada organized a full-day workshop on Open Educational Resources (OER) on September 22, 2010 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The workshop was conducted by internationally recognized educationalists - Prof. G.Dhanarajan, Hon. Director of Institute for Research and Innovation, Wawasan Open University, Malaysia and Prof. David Porter, Executive Director of BCCampus, Canada.
The workshop explored the potential for open educational resources (OER) as a tool for delivering curriculum to meet Mongolia's emerging needs. About 70 participants, including representatives of Mongolian education sector, policy and decision-makers and press attended the workshop.
