Just by declaring the event`s focus, targeted community and preliminary program, we have already linked up with like-minded people both in France and abroad. More interestingly however, the contacts have gone beyond just common interest, and the discussion has furiously evolved over email.

With 5 months to go, just by anouncing the event, we have been able to test our ideas and approaches with experts in the field that we wouldn`t have met otherwise. Expertise and resources are exchnaged across disciplines and experiences shared.

A big THANK YOU to the OAWeek team for shifting the community to a `social network` software. I would strongly encourage all participants to announce their event`s mission and greet Open Access Week with an enlarged network of contacts, and confidence.
