In recognition of Open Access Week the Library and Technology Services website of Brandeis University will be turning orange and we will be encouraging all members of the community to consider how greater access to scholarship serves to provide increased interdisciplinary collaboration and therefore potentially greater service to society.
Additonally, we are also very proud to spend the week spreading awareness of Brandeis’ Open Access Fund. This fund provides support for faculty, staff and students of Brandeis to publish their work through established scholarly journals that are not supported through subscriptions. You can learn about the Open Access Fund, as well as other aspects important to the Open Access movement (copyright, author’s rights) at the newly-created Brandeis University Scholarly Communications website: scholcomm.brandeis.edu.
We are happy to join our colleagues around the world in encouraging increased open access to research and data!
