What are your goals for OA Week?

Awareness through dialogue. The idea is to unbundle the underlining aims of Open Access and to begin discussions on it’s relevance to us as free-thinking members of the academic community. We begin by interacting with an expert on understanding “The myth about open access publishing as a potential threat to academic freedom”. Other events are a series of expert interactions, dialogues, documentary screenings, debates, contests and other celebratory fan-fare. Students and faculty will act as discussants after documentary screenings and share their insights and ideas on what constitutes an Open Society. Also contributions to our awareness campaign is invited by participating in the “JGU-Jingle contest”, winning jingle will go on air on the JGU campus radio and also win prizes! (see attached email shared with students for other details.)
