What are your goals for OA Week?

as a member of the arts community, i believe we need to rationalise access and use protocols, whilst ensuring that open access does not mean zero revenue for publishers and producers. this debate is as crucial economically from an arts perspective as from a science perspective. most important of all, it is paramount that old outdated methods of data control/data witheld (including from research subjects themselves) is no longer acceptable or viable practice.
we also need to ensure that data accrued/released in one context does not cause catastrophe and loss of life in another, and understand how people can be caused real harm and distress by innappropriate personal information being broadcast.
