What are your goals for OA Week?

EAZA is one of the largest zoo associations in the world, uniting more than 400 zoos and aquariums in 48 countries. EAZA’s mission is to facilitate cooperation within the European zoo and aquarium community. This goal is achieved through stimulation, facilitation, and coordination of the community’s efforts in education, conservation and, scientific research, through the enhancement of cooperation with all relevant organizations, and through influencing relevant legislation within the EU (EAZA Strategy 2021-2025).
We publish 4 times a year a no-fee OA journal: The Journal of Zoo and Aquarium Research (JZAR).
JZAR provides a forum for the publication of novels, peer-reviewed research papers, reviews, technical reports, and evidence-based case studies. All issues are revised by an expert editorial board. Research categories covered by JZAR includes studies in pure and applied biological sciences (e.g. behaviour, genetics, medicine, nutrition, population management, and reproduction), in situ conservation research (e.g. socio-economic and field surveys) and research aimed at developing other roles of zoos and aquariums (e.g. visitor learning and marketing surveys).
We are having some financial issues so, I would like to understand if we can benefit from external funds and if exist other ways to help us in maintaining this activity.
