Oecologia Australis is edited by the Postgraduate Programme in Ecology of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PPGE/UFRJ) and aims to publish reviews in Ecology. The target public of our journal is researchers and undergraduate and graduate students in Ecology and related areas.

This journal offers immediate open access to its contents, in accord to the principle that grating free access to scientific knowledge to the public will promote a greater democratization of knowledge in the world.
