Open Access Week

October 23 - 29, 2023 | Everywhere

Hi, Are there any of the videos you have on this site that are NOT hosted on YouTube. We wish to download, as opposed to embed, the videos and have them looping as part of a display in our library. The YouTube copyright precludes us from doing this with out permission...and time is running out!! Thanks

A late (and not helpful response), but, thanks for bringing this up. This is another reason why I try to upload to both Vimeo and YouTube. I find Vimeo to be much easier for downloading.

Two suggestions:

1) Ask the YouTube video producers to change the license from Standard YouTube to Creative Commons Attribution (which then also allows for easy remixing on YouTube)

2) Download the video using a service like Peggo

Hi, Thank you both for your replies. I ended up downloading form Vimeo which worked really well, and our IT people were happy with the source.
