Event Description

UCL%20OA%20Forum%202013.pdf

An opportunity for UCL Researchers and Research Support Staff to hear about national and international developments in open access, publisher and funder approaches, and UCL’s support for authors.

A recent Report from the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills suggests that the UK policy position on open access still requires considerable development. Nonetheless, UCL has developed a service to support researchers who wish to publish Gold open access articles and monographs. This Forum will highlight all of these issues and provide practical guidance for UCL researchers going forward.

Speakers:

- Phil Sykes, Liverpool University (a member of the Finch group)
- Liz Lyon, UKOLN
- Catriona MacCallum, PLOS
- Catherine Sharp, Open Access Funding Manager, UCL

Dr Paul Ayris, UCL's Director of Library Services, will host the forum and chair a panel discussion.
