The focus for the panel discussion and Q&A is to outline the benefits and role of open access publishing,  benefits to the community, benefits to readers, and the subsequent benefits to models of traditional publishing.

Panel Chair:  Emeritus Professor, Dr Margaret Jackson.

  • Adrian Danks  Is the co-editor of the internationally recognised journal, Senses of Cinema, and co-curator of The Melbourne Cinémathèque. )
  • Philip Dearman - General Editor of the journal Communication, Politics and Culture (formerly Southern Review: Communication, Politics & Culture).
  • Debbie Dickinson External Relations Manager  The Conversation Media Group. Oversees the Creative Commons licensing and open source republishing area here at The Conversation
