Join us to hear Clifford Lynch, Executive Director of the Coalition for Networked Information, talk about higher education OA policies, faculty publishing choices, open courseware, and access to digitized library collections, among other things. Subsequently, a distinguished panel of four Mason faculty will share their experiences with OA publishing. Professors Donald Seto (bioinformatics), Edward Maibach (communication), Monique van Hoek (molecular & microbiology), and Tom Scheinfeldt (history) will discuss why they chose to publish in OA journals and the advantages and challenges of open access publishing.
