The guest speaker will be: Calum Land,  BioMed Central.

Calum Land will review the state of open access in Africa, will talk on how open access can benefit Africa and will present the open access journals relevant to Africa. Calum will also share what BioMed Central is doing to support open access in Africa: a Waiver scheme, Foundation Memberships and Open Access Africa conference. There will be time for questions and answers.
