SRCE - University of Zagreb, University Computing Centre will held a webinar in which newly released handbook about research data management called “How to Manage Research Data” will be presented. The handbook contains best practices on how to manage research data to make them suitable for sharing and reuse in accordance with FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles. It was written considering the Croatian infrastructure and the Croatian context in general.
The first part of the webinar will present the handbook and its content, while the second part of the webinar will present a specific part of the handbook that covers themes related to data collection, processing and analysis, precisely topics will include naming conventions, organization of files and folders, and data versioning.
Second session will present practical guidelines for conducting qualitative data management and it will show how to successfully organize data. It will include file naming conventions, organization of files and folders with research or project documentation, and how to successfully manage different versions of files containing data, i.e. data versioning.
The handbook was created as part of the activities on the RDA Europe 4.0 project in cooperation with the librarians from the University of Rijeka Library, the University of Split Library, the City and University Library Osijek, and the National and University Library in Zagreb.
