Thanks a million Iryna! I love the 'Highly accessed' graphic" - what a wonderful tool!

Hi Donna
I'd be most appreciative if you'd check out for University of the Western Cape (UWC) PLOS authors, too. Prof Winston Hide (now between Harvard and UWC) is I think on one of the PLOS editorial boards?. You can write to me at afullard@uwc.ac.za.

Hello everyone,

I'll be out of the office for 3 days but will work on this when I get back on Thursday. Again ask lots of question or let us know what you need. It really does help us help you!

Last year we used this list - OA speakers bureau: http://oad.simmons.edu/oadwiki/OA_speakers_bureau

Can I echo the request for a list of presenters. Planning needs to start happening here and it would be good to know what expertise is available.

Dear Donna - thanks so much for your generous offer. We would like to launch our IR during OA week, and was hoping to put together a program with some speakers for the launch event. Can you please provide me with such a list? My e-mail if you want to use that is ismith@sun.ac.za. Haven't started doing any planning yet .... Any other ideas are most welcome, and I will also arrange a meeting with our Marketing team and then put the list of speakers on the table. Many thanks Donna! Ina

Hi everyone,

I'm Donna from PLoS but also work closely with SPARC on OA Week. As you may have noticed we have just posted some information on author rights and copyright issues as well as making it easier to find downloadable materials.

Is there anything specific that I can help you with in South Africa? On thing is if you are looking for presentors at your institutions I would be more than happy to pull a list of published PLoS authors from South Africa. I would also encourage you to ask all the other OA publishers to do the same for you.

Thank you all for your support of OA Week and I look forward to hearing from you!

It was great to meet you and Tessa Derek. Good luck with all!

A big thank-you to those of you in the Western Cape that took time out of your busy schedule to connect in real time with Tessa and I. Returned home with my head spinning and a real sense of gratitude to all those people that shared their experiences and ideas with us.
