 Michigan's MPublishing\nScholarly communication and academic publishin
 g are quickly evolving and these developments are transforming the way
  we share research and scholarship. The Open Access movement has gaine
 d momentum and online electronic publishing is generating new avenues 
 for communication. These changes have created opportunities for univer
 sities to increase access to the results research, develop and publish
  their own journals and monographs, and to share their raw data in ord
 er to enable new research. During Open Access week 2012 Shana Kimball,
  Head of Publishing Services from the the University of Michigan's MPu
 blishing, will be giving a public talk on academic publishing, open ac
 cess and the development and impact of MPublishing at the University o
 f Michigan. More details we be released as they become available. Ther
 e will be time for  refreshments and conversation following the talk.
