  Open Access: 2012 OA Week at UZ
DESCRIPTION:The 2012 University of Zimbabwe Open Access Week activitie
 s will comprise of honouring and presenting special awards to individu
 als who have made impact in the development of the UZ Institutional Re
 pository. The Library will award authors with the most downloaded arti
 cles and most number of uploaded articles and winners will be given an
  opportunity to testify how the UZ Institutional Repository has helped
  to increase visibility and recognition of their research output. The 
 UZ Library is also going to run a “Mobile” Open Access Table each 
 day of the week. The “Mobile” Open Access Table will be mounted at
  strategic points on campus to market and promote OA. Promotional mate
 rials such as pamphlets, fliers, and brochures will be distributed fro
 m this Table. An Open Access Quiz Competition will be carried out at t
 he “Mobile” Open Access Table each day and winners will get Open A
 ccess T-Shirts. The Library Facebook page will be a host to discussion
  forum called The Open Access Week: each day an answer, where the univ
 ersity community will be given a platform to ask questions on OA.\n\nF
