DESCRIPTION:The Mexican Council on Science and Technology (CONACYT) im
 plemented the Repositories program with the objective of gathering, pr
 eserving and guaranteeing Open Access to scientific, technological and
  innovative information resources partially or completely generated wi
 th public funds. \nThis is a sound step towards the Open Science para
 digm in Mexico. Through the implementation of this program the scienti
 fic production of more than 90 public and private institutions in the 
 country, it is available to students, academics, scientists, technolog
 ists and anyone interested.\nFurthermore, CONACYT has developed a stro
 ng platform, the National Repository which is responsible for harvest
 ing and centralizing information from institutional repositories.\nThi
 s event aims to share the experiences of the creation and development 
 of institutional repositories belonging to CONACYT’s Open Science Re

  y Tecnología en México (CONACYT) ha implementado el programa de Rep
 ositorios con el objetivo de acopiar, preservar y asegurar el Acceso A
 bierto a los Recursos de información Científica Tecnológica y de In
 novación generados parcial o totalmente con fondos públicos.\nEste p
 rograma es un paso importante hacia el paradigma de la Ciencia Abierta
  en México, debido a que pone a disposición de los estudiantes, acad
 émicos, científicos, tecnólogos y cualquier interesado la producciÃ
 ³n científica de más de noventa instituciones públicas y privadas d
 el país, a través de sus repositorios institucionales.\nAdemás, el 
 CONACYT ha desarrollado el Repositorio Nacional, que es el encargado d
 e cosechar y centralizar la información de los repositorios instituci
 onales.\nEs así que este evento tiene el objetivo compartir las exper
 iencias de la creación o el desarrollo de los repositorios institucio
 nales que participan en el programa de Repositorios de Ciencia Abierta
