DESCRIPTION:Open Access Week (20-26 October 2014) is an opportunity fo
 r the academic and research community to continue to learn about the p
 otential benefits of Open Access to scholarly research, to share what 
 they've learned with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participati
 on in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and resear
 ch.  The theme for this year's Open Access Week is Generation Open. Â
  This theme highlights the involvement of students and early career re
 searchers in the shift in the scholarly communication landscape toward
 s open.  You can find out more about events from around the world on 
 the Global Open Access Week site.\nThis year, we're having two series
  of Open Access Week events on campus: one in the week of 6-10 October
  and the other during Global Open Access Week (20-26 October).  This 
 is to allow students who will be study for and writing exams during Op
 en Access Week the opportunity to get involved in our events.\nYou can
