DESCRIPTION:The V International Open Access Week will be celebrated on
  24.-30. October 2011. The University of Tartu Library will continue t
 he tradition of participating in this event and invites everybody to t
 ake part in the conferences held at  the University of Tartu Library 
 conference hall on the 27th  and 28th of October at 11.00. Registrati
 on is free, but required.\n \nOn Thursday, the 27th of October the pr
 esentations and discussions will focus on institutional repositories a
 s the basis for implementing Open Access principles. The conference wi
 ll be held in Estonian, with the exception of Iryna Kuchma’s present
 ation on the research libraries’ role in the field of open access po
 licies, which will be in English.\nInternational conference will be he
 ld on Friday, the 28th of October. The main topics of the conference a
 re will be: the experience of different organizations and countries in
  implementing Open Access principles; Open Access regulations; Open Ac
 cess in Estonia. The conference will culminate with a panel discussion
 . The conference will be held in Estonian and English; simultaneous in
 terpretation is available into both languages. The conference is spons
 ored by the Research and Innovation Policy Monitoring Programme.\n \n
