DESCRIPTION:Peer review or evaluation committees, national or internat
 ional ranking, bibliometric tools, academic social networks, e-reputat
 ion : in many ways, from the most institutionalized to the least form
 al, the evaluation is more than ever a key element for regulating the 
 research community.\nThe emergence and development of Open Access has 
 been and still is a great challenge. It has disrupted the traditional 
 processes of publication, validation, recognition and approval of scie
 ntific activities. Indeed, it puts into question the criteria that are
  used for researchers’ evaluation and could transform the process by
  putting more weight on scientific works filed in Open Access.\nThe pu
 rpose of this symposium is to provide an overview of typical practices
  and to analyze to what extent the changes are apparent (in some scien
 tific fields, peer review groups or among researchers themselves). Add
 itionally, the French legislative project for a digital republic or th
 e European recommendations regarding Open Access may have a significan
 t impact on the evolution of the methods and standards used to evaluat
