SUMMARY:National Information Day Open Access to Scientific Informatio
 n
DESCRIPTION:The Open Access Week is a global event, now in its 4th yea
r, promoting the open accessas a new norm in scholarship and research.
This year’s Open Access\nWeek will highlight the collaboration behi
nd the open access and a broad range of initiatives around the globe.
The anticipated participation of hundreds of uni-versities, research i
nstitutions, and other sites worldwide would demonstrate the depth and
the breadth of support for the open access and the real impact of un-
fettered access on advancing discovery across disciplines.\nThe Nation
al Information Day will focus on the use of the National Open Access D
esks, the development of networks among researchers, research institut
ions, and policy makers at a national level on the one hand, and the E
uropean project services, on the other.\nThe use of open access will b
e presented in the context of the following EU funded projects:\n\nOpe
nAIRE (Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe) which im-ple
ments Open Access on a pan-European scale. OpenAIRE establishes underl
ying structures for researchers to support them through a European Hel
pdesk System.\n\n\nEuDML (The Europian Digital Mathematics Library) wh
ich brings together the dispersed European heritage of digital mathema
tical literature in virtual collections.\n\n\nATLAS (Applied Technolog
y for Language-Aided CMS) which facilitates the multilingual Web conte
nt development and management, in particular the authoring, versioning
and maintenance of multilingual websites.\n\n\nOpenScout (Skill based
scouting of open user-generated and community-improved content for ma
nagement education and training) which aims at providing an education
service in the internet that enables users to easily find, access, use
and exchange open content for management education and training.\n\n\
