DESCRIPTION:Open access was defined by Budapest Declaration in 2002, a
 nd since then institutional repositories and open access journals have
  been rising.\nThe number of open access journals which require Articl
 e Processing Charges (APCs) as their publishing costs are increasing d
 ramatically, and open access journals are becoming a stable business a
 s observed for success of open access mega journals as represented by 
 “PLoS ONE” or “Scientific Reports”.\nOn the other hand, as an 
 effect of open access mandate policies by governments or research gran
 ting agencies of Europe and the United States, not only articles but r
 esearch data are required to be open access in late years. And it is b
 eing started to make data public by institutional repositories.\nBy co
 vering such changing current situations of open access from the perspe
 ctive of “post OA” or “New missions of libraries”, and by anal
 yzing access tendencies of Kobe University institutional repository, w
 e intend that this event will be a momentum to think about missions of
  future university libraries and direction of open access.\n\nFor more
