 hers' roles. The first panelist (Dr. Douglas Scutchfield from the Coll
 ege of Public Health) will then discuss the benefits of open access fr
 om the researcher's perspective, and his personal experience of taking
  the lead to support open access by creating a new open access journal
 . The second panelist (Dr. Matthew Zook from the Department of Geograp
 hy) will focus on the value of openly sharing research data, especiall
 y in terms of how it contributes to scholarship, innovation, and the p
 ublic good. There will be a Q&A period after the two presentations. Th
