DESCRIPTION:The main mission of the Association for the Promotion of O
 pen Science in Haiti and Africa (APSOHA) is to contribute to the devel
 opment of open and fair science for sustainable local development. To 
 this end, the quest for cognitive justice through Open Access to scien
 tific work in the countries of the South occupies a pivotal position. 
 Keeping our long-standing fight, in which is aligned the theme of the 
 2018 International Open Access Week, \"Designing equitable foundations
  for free knowledge\", we invite you from 26 October 2018, to massivel
 y participate in the Depose-Thon devoted to submit thesis in the Open 
 Archive DICAMES.\nThe DICAMES?\nUnfortunately, the science of sub-Saha
 ran French-speaking Africa is almost invisible on the scientific web. 
 The African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education (CAMES) has deci
 ded to counter this invisibility by launching the project to create an
  open and pan-African web-based scientific archive: DICAMES. It aims a
 t the conservation and free and accessible dissemination of all scient
 ific production in the countries of sub-Saharan French-speaking Africa
 .\nThe Dépose-Thon?\nThe Dépose-Thon is an activity that aims to mob
 ilize researchers who find that DICAMES is important and even essentia
 l to the common good of Africa. The activity will consist in learning,
  in small groups, to deposit in the DICAMES archive the theses collect
 ed by CAMES and APSOHA.\nWhere and when?\nSeveral DICAMES volunteers a
 re organizing The Dépose-Thon sessions during International Open Acce
