DESCRIPTION:Every year, AUC Libraries try to raise awareness of the im
 portance of Open Access for research and teaching, through a variety o
 f activities. In keeping with the theme of the Common Reading Program 
 at AUC, this year’s activities will focus on open access to data.\nT
 hroughout the week, there will be a lunchtime talks by key stakeholde
 rs on campus to shed light on current data policies and practices at A
 UC. These talks are free and open to all, but aimed primarily at an au
 dience consisting of faculty and graduate students at AUC.\nThe kickof
 f event will focus on future plans for data management at AUC. The Off
 ice of Information Management, and its affiliate, the Office of Data A
 nalytics and Institutional Research (DAIR), are in the process of esta
 blishing a business intelligence platform based on a comprehensive inf
 rastructure on campus. Iman Megahed, director of DAIR, will give a pre
 sentation on AUC plans for a data center, and how this platforms will 
 transform data analysis, access and utilization on campus.\n\nFor more
