 able and Sustainable Data Access\"
DESCRIPTION:Join the Association of College and Research Libraries (AC
RL, a division of the American Library Association) for a free ACRL Pr
esents webcast as we celebrate Open Access Week! The webcast, “Open
Data Repositories: Creating Equitable and Sustainable Data Access,”
 will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 1:00 — 2:00 p.m. Ce

face. The presenters will discuss how repositories present opportunit
ies and threats to equitable and sustainable access. The webcast will
continue with an exploration of the DataONE model and how this NSF-fun
ded network of data repositories is implementing best practices for de
posit, provenance, access, sustainability, and reuse for earth science
s data.\nPresenters:\nAbigail Goben, MLS, is an Associate Professor an
d Information Services Librarian at the University of Illinois at Chic

She is a Co-Investigator of the IMLS-funded Data Doubles project. Gob
en is an active member of LITA and ACRL and serves as a presenter and
coordinator for the ACRL Research Data Management RoadShow. Outside of
library and research work, Goben is an avid knitter. She blogs at Hed
gehog Librarian and can be found on Twitter as @hedgielib.\nRobert San
